PROJECT OVERVIEW

On a rainy Toronto night, an isolated, exhausted man works on an assignment in his apartment, then unexplained sounds, shadows, movements and silences create ambiguity about whether the threat is real, fatigue, imagination, paranoia, or something truly present. A worked version of about 2 minutes exists, with a 36-second opening segment worked in detail. The story is primarily set at night in Toronto, Canada.

LOGLINE

On a rain-soaked Toronto night, an exhausted man working alone in his apartment begins to notice unexplained sounds, shadows, and movements, leaving him—and the viewer—unsure whether something is truly there or whether fear is emerging from fatigue and isolation.

PSYCHOLOGICAL CORE

Fear comes from what is not clearly seen. The threat is never confirmed: it may be real, or born of fatigue, imagination and paranoia. Unexplained sounds, shadows, movements and sudden silences keep both character and viewer inside that uncertainty.

VISUAL DIRECTION

A cold blue-gray palette, muted blacks with a slight green undertone and deep shadows. Warm practical lights inside contrast with the cool city light outside. Realistic rain, cinematic contrast, natural skin tones, shallow depth of field and subtle film grain.

SOUND & ATMOSPHERE

Sound design carries the tension: rain ambience, Toronto at night, room tone, building noises, unexplained sounds, low-frequency tension, subtle supernatural cues and silence. Music stays minimal, with low drones, atmospheric textures and subtle pulses.

REMASTER APPROACH

The cinematic remaster preserves the actor’s identity, performance, framing and story continuity while enhancing lighting, shadows, rain, atmosphere, realism, color grade and film grain.

STATUS

Existing film with a cinematic remaster still in progress. Official teaser published on YouTube in February 2026.
